I have 2 questions to ask:

1) I see everyone saying that swords and maces and whatever are the best weapons to use but I personally use bows as I am at a fairly early stage in the game and I either can't hold the weapons with high damage rates or the weapons I find just don't seem very powerful. I use bows because the ones I find seem to be able to do up to 99 damage (which is alot more than most of the cheap weapons I've found!!!) and I can use them from a distance. Why is a weapon with a low amount of damage better than one with a high amount of damage?

2) Now about the gameplay. That djinn in doctor elrath's house is stupidly stong. Are there any tips for beating him? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devil.gif" alt="" />

1.I like bows myself but then again i was a rouge and invested all my points in agility and constitution so i too could not hold heavy weapons.

Later in the game you will find melee weapons pretty good as well.

Melee weapons can also have fire damage etc on them but bows cannot plus i dont think you can use charms on a bow,which may inflate the price.

2. Yes the Djinn,i hate him,wait till you are around level 20 or set a death scorpion on him. Or you could use your bow and hit and run.

Learn poison weapon and buy poison flasks - this works well with bows

I chose "freeze" and killed him.

i have found stashs full of good swords, but maybe just one or two good weapons of all the other classes together...

And these bows doing up to 99 damage...i think the minimum damage is around 10 or something? Means the average damage is around 55, but you can buy even better weapons in Ars...not to speak of the grand swords you can find, just got the sing blade with 5 manaleech and frost <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I just found a bow with up to 144 damage. Minimum is about 30 I think. I found a good sword in rivertown market. And it does poison too, I'll have to steal it, but I don't care about that. Hmm i dont remember what i did with the jinn but i do now he's death
i dint use a bow i now that for sure
no axe
no hammer
no sword

yeah a mace it was and meteor strike yeah that where the things that killed him
