I understand the urge of most companies to bend over backwards to accomodate tastes of ppl, who used to populate twitter. But was it reeeeally nesessary for a fantasy game to have almost every character without his or her sexual preferences and tastes?
There used to be some characters in rpgs who was straight , some swung both ways. But now I am basically one straight male in the camp full of bisexuals hitting on me and only the dead guy behaves without the twinkle in his eyes. One day I try to get out of bear sex, the next - a guy with a horns dances in front of me in his underwear. How about building a friendship and comaraderie between party members? How about some options in the menu, witch can turn on character's original sex preferences? They have rights too, you know!
Because now what ppl are having is: "weeell, you are kind to me - let's have sex whoever you are!"
P.S. And zoophilia - was THAT nessessary? you know kids play these games too?

The companions are player-sexual. Not Bisexual.
And there is no Zoophilia. And Kids shouldn't be playing a Game with Mature Subject, this game was rated M for a reason.
Funny how killing is Okay but....Wahhhh guys hitting on meh.

Don't engage, just report. Why? Its a valid complain. Everyone being bi/player sexual dimishes the companions as now their sexuality can not be used as part of their personality. Just compare them to the companions in Kingmaker. It made sense based on Octavias attitude that she would be Bi and open and it made sense that Harrim was not interested in romance. Yet I do not believe for a minute that Wyll would be bi if it werent for enforced player sexuality. Fixed sexuality allows for much better storytelling.

Kids shouldn't play this game, it is rated M for a reason. And kids won't be scarred for life because of a sex scene, but because of the brutality of a lot of in-game scenes. I for once am glad that characters are player sexual, because lets face it, we women got shafted in former games - in BG3 guys had the pic of three romances, while we got ... Anomen, the worst character ever. Same in other games: in SWTOR we get the weirdos, while guys get the hot girls. I want to get the hot girls too, do yeah, works well for me here. They could however made clear friendship paths for characters, we don't want to romance. As it is now, I have to tell the companions ' Sorry, not interested ', before there is a friendship part. They should have done all the romances like Shadowhearts: the player has to say something to initiate.

@fylimar it's ANNOYMEN! lol, Annoymen who thinks you are hot and remind him of his Sisteh! Aint that very Incestously Glorious? Lol
Also, the whole 'Fixed sexuality allows for much better storytelling' is a myth. It is just a cop-out of saying 'I think men should be like this, and women like this'. Nothing more.
When the writing is terrible, it isn't because of 'Sexuality'. It's just bad.
The same when the writing is good. It's good regardless of what changes you can make.
Also, Good writing wouldn't make a character about their sexuality. I mean, how many times do peoples in real life mention how Hetero they are in a conversation?
- You want some coffee?
- Oh yeah, sure. But make sure you pour it in a hetero cup huh!
I mean really??

Larian are only interested in the virtue signalling.

I mean really?? Thats just nonsense and you know it. Of course the sexuality of a person is part of their personality and affects how they behave around other people. As for mentioning them, you do not even have to leave the game for that, just talk to Gale and Wyll for example how it can come up, which makes their playersexuality extra strange.

Don't engage, just report. Report what? I think I'm just tired of hearing about bear sex and lgbtq+ as if it's some scary thing. The OP felt like a troll/steam style thread. I'm willing to admit I might be wrong though, so my bad. I'll edit my post. Player-sexual companions has been a thing for decades now, and it's bizarre seeing people upset about males hitting on males when I don't see that as the real issue in the games romance.

I'm with Boblawblah in feeling that the original post here wasn't created in the constructive, thoughtful way that I'd expect of any post that touches on personal, real life topics.
I'm happy to allow any discussion of companion sexuality that starts off in that way, but one that doesn't is, as we've proved here, isn't going to lead to high quality debate and is almost certainly going to lead to folk getting offended and upset.
Locking this thread.
