Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Suggestions & Feedback Can't carry torch in offhand without dual wielding

With the lonsword, rapier, quarterstaff and I'm sure other weapons it is not possible to have a torch in the offhand. Shields apply without problem.
As I understand it the game counts having a longsword and torch as "dual wielding".

I consider a torch more of a utility tool than a "weapon", I think I should be able to wield it in the off hand without "dual wielding", like the shield.
