I really want to save and do Halsin's quest but I desperately need to rest. I already made that mistake in Grymforge and would rather not have something similar happen.

Also if it's impossible to save the aforementioned character, please don't tell me. I just need to know if I'm in the clear to rest or not.

I was resting a bunch throughout Acts 2 and 3. You're fine. The game lies about how rushed you really are.
