In the early access period, it was much more difficult to fulfil Gale's requirement for magic items. This would often lead to him making a deal with Raphael and was one of the more interesting consequences that felt like it had potential in the full game to go somewhere. But as best as I can determine, Gale's requirements are a virtual non-factor and he will wait indefinitely to get a magic item. Has anyone had Gale make a deal with Raphael since release?

I heard he doesn't count the time passed, but how often you talk to him. To be specific, someone got the scene because they tried to give him items he didn't want, which lead to a lot of opening/closing dialogue. Or they just waited too long. Who knows

There are items Gale won't consume? In my experience, he'll take any magic item, and I fed him three really basic ones. Not remotely like early access where he only wanted big-ticket ones.

If I remember right, the problem was that he was bugged and wouldn't take anything. I didn't pay a lot of attention, it was just another random issue someone had. They did get the scene, though, so there's that.

Makes you think about how much got left on the cutting room floor.

It feels like a lot of cuts were made very late in production. Daisy, for example, happened so late that the Guardian isn't in the artbook. Honestly, I wish I hadn't played early access because all the stuff I thought was cool or interesting seems to have been cut out.
