so thinking of doing a playthru as a Dragonborn but curios if the colour of them has to limit you lore-wise i.e only evil playthru's I should choose red or black Dragonborn and good as silver or gold Dragonborn? in other words do Dragonborn's share any views etc that the actual dragons do or are they their own seperate entity or whatever?

By lore the scale color of dragonborn has nothing to do with alignment (for current edition ones)

You are only part dragon... Who is to say if the coupling was totally consensual or if you were raised with love

Note: Dragonborn in D&D are, despite the name, not directly related to dragons apart from "were created in the distant past" myths.

that depends who you ask... there are a few books that touch on dragons deliberately 'breading' humans in order to boost their numbers or act as an honor guard, then you have the Salvatore books that make it more of a spell gone wrong effect

Not really, although thee was some retconning in 5E.
But in FR there are 2 sources of dragonborn which was always different from general D&D lore (where dragonborn were indeed children of dragons in 4E).

1. The willingly transformed humans by Bahamut to serve as Soldier agains evil dragons. But as they were infertile by design so that they are not distracted by family they don't play much of a role.

2. Dragonborn from Abier and their offspring where they might have been created by dragons a very long time ago according to some myths and were servants/slaves to dragons.

Neither of those have actual blood relations to dragons.
