Hello,
I really miss the dynamic split screen from Divinity OS 1 and 2, where the characters would be on a single large screen with dynamic zooming when close enough or during combat, but change to split screen when too far apart.
The current, always split screen makes combat feel cramped and more confusing and takes away from the single party feel when exploring. Divinity did couch co-op so fantastically well and it feels like we've taken a step back to always split screen, to the point where I'm wondering if playing on two separate PCs would be better from an UI perspective (but then you loose the fun of sitting together on the couch looking at the same screen).
I understand that this would mean less control over the camera when exploring, and that you couldn't take simulations turns in combat (We take it in turns anyway so you can see the effect of one characters actions before choosing what to do with the next one and I'm sure that's a common approach).
Couch co-op was such a killer feature for Divinity and it's a shame that it's not quite there with BG3.
