I have played EA and there was no multi classing.
I understand the basics. You can select any class at any lv up, there are no stat requirements and you get feats every 4th class level (not character lv).
I am interested how different abilities of different classes work together.
spells and spell slots:
- If you have a char with 6 levels of cleric and 6 levels of sorcerer you have spell slots up to lv6 but you only have spells up to lv3 for each class. Is that assumtion correct?
- If different classes know the same spell, what stat is used for casting?
- If an item (like a scroll) is used by a multi classed char, which stat is used for DC?
This question feels especially strange when using an item with a class that does not have magic. You should only be able to use a scroll when the spell is on the spell list of a class you have.
- In EA wizards could learn any spell from a scroll, not just wizard spells. I hope this was fixed.
If you are a wizard1/cleric11, would you have cleric spells up to lv6 and also wizard spells up to lv 6 (learned from scrolls)?
- Can a sorcerer use meta magic with spells from any class they have?
attacks, especially multi attacks
- If you have rogue levels and also multi attack, can you use all of your attacks and one of them is a sneak attack? (in EA you had to select SA as an action)
- If you have a thief (extra bonus action at lv3) can you do any bonus action twice? (Thinking of sorcerer quickened magic or heavy weapon master proc on crit/kill)
- If you use battle master maneuvers, can you add them to any attack? So when you have 2 attacks with your main hand weapon and a bonus attack with your off hand, can you try to push enemies 3 times by spending 3 dice for using pushing attack 3 times a turn?
I do not have much time to play and I play very slow so I cannot test all of this myself.
