I collected several barrels and sent them to the traveler's chest in the camp. I stacked them in the chest. Unfortunately now the stack is too heavy to pick up with any of my characters. I would like to split the stack so I can pick up one or two barrels for use, but there is no option to split it within the chest.

I've not tried this in your particular situation, but does select>drag to invetory>[left shift+let go] work? That works for splitting stacks normally.

I will try if I can drag and the drop the stack into my inventory to see if I get a split option.

PS - That didn't work either, but it might have, had I remembered to press the shift key. Since the stack of barrels was too heavy, it did not drag over simply. I did figure out another workaround for the issue. I dragged the stack out of the camp supplies box and placed it on the ground next to it. The stack was still too heavy to pick up, but I could attack it. When I did that the outer barrel was destroyed, and I was able to pick up the rest of them one by one.

Just to make sure I was clear, it's pressing <left shift> at the time of dropping that I think gives the option to split the stack. Good luck!
