I know, developers said there will be no new game plus but listen to me for a sec.
Mass Effect 2 had an amazing New Game + experience, it was almost impossible to complete the game in a perfect manner (saving all of the crew members of Normandy) from dying and explore all of the content, plus you couldn't get all Normandy upgrades or physical upgrades to finish the game on top difficulty from the first letsplay.
What I'm implying is that New Game + option like in ME2 or Dark Souls 2 for gamers might be a super cool idea. For example, there could be some minor/medium buffs a player might get transfered to his NG+ gaming adventure (or a bit of coin, some funny/cozy cool passive ability or aura and etc) and still let his/her character be intact, it would be also cool to have a bit of bonus fan content (like advanced relationship, or little bit of new dialogues available, or some cool bonus weapons discovered in New Game + like in Dark Souls 2 or something like Twin Princes MEGA sword that you could ONLY obtain by finishing New Game + in Dark Souls 3 by combining their souls into one powerful weapon) with some companions for romance unlocked this way.
That was one of the reasons me and my friends finished Mass Effect 2 more than 14 times ! That's one of the reasons I have more than 800 hours (300 hours on steam) invested into Dark Souls 2.
New Game plus added a WHOLE new layer of replayability, unbelievable depth and attachment to your character in the game, me and my buddies loved our Commander Sheppard so much that none of us could let go. I think it's a good option, if Larian would implement it in a cool way even through 1-2 dollars DLC I would buy it (though would be better to have it implemented the way it is, for free, I've been a loyal fan of Larian since Divinity 1 and loyal fan of CRPG genre since Neverwinter Nights 2, already sold more than 10 copies of Baldur's Gate 3 to my friends who even didn't knew about the game and recommending it to my youtube subscribers, the channel is not big though, only 7.8k subs but still, if every channel on youtube related to gaming or PC building like mine would do the same thing as I did, Larian would probably be gaming billionaires right now :D, or at least it would boost the sales on a whole new level ).
I don't think Larian developers will read this message since they are super busy with the game and are basking in rays of glory they so DESERVE (rightfully so, no such good game since Neverwinter 2. Fallout 1/2 or New Vegas), but I have hopes (fingers crossed) for New Game + option like in Darksouls 2 (I managed to play the game more than 300 hours because of that, if you take into account my friend's steam it would be totally 800 hours of DS2 just because of that, it had minor additional content that I loved to explore because the game had an amazing grim atmosphere that I felt in love with). I even bought Scholar of the First sin and played the living **** out of it since I was hoping for a bit of new weapons, new placements of enemies, new bosses and a bit of new lore in the game but almost nothing new was in the new version of the game ... Props to Sir Alone though, love him (no homo).
Random location start would be awesome too but it is unreal to implement in the game right now since all of the quests are interconnected into plot and scripts chain but like in Skyrim modding, that would also add depth and unique experience to the game, I think modding community will make something similar. I'm studying Python for 4 months, if I succeed I will be developing mods for the game since I love it, fingers crossed that I will succeed. Let's also hope that Larian will implement superb modding support , that will make the game live for 10+ more years to come. Let's just hope they will no be doing disgusting things like Tod Howard does with his awful updates to the game past 10 years of game release, he does it to break mods and modding community (and the game for several cases of SKSE and other pluggins support) so that people would pay for the mods in his scam mod shop + or to just mentally hurt people and modding community with insanely talented modders behind it. I've been modding skyrim for hundreds of hours and everybody knows of this disgusting Todd/Bethesda practice.
To be honest I think good New Game Plus experience will boost sales on a whole new lvl for RPG / CRPG geeks like me, just remember how big was the community of NG+ players in Mass Effect and Darksouls.
God bless you people, I was praying to Jesus Christ that Larian would succeed with Baldur's Gate 3 and thank GOD they did. Now I'm praying to Jesus Christ for Swen Vincke and his team so they wouldn't sell their souls and guts to big business (Microsoft, Bobby Kotick, EA and others), because after such great success huge scam business companies will be offering insane amount of money to the team, and that will be a HUGE TEMPTATION for any human being. since Microsoft already had plans of buying Larian studio. Michael Morhaime, Frank Pearce and Bioware founders couldn't resist such ... generous demonic offers. Look at the sorry state of Blizzard and Bioware now, even Obsidian is now a hollow corpse of a insanely good studio they once were, props to Mask of Betrayer NW2, best DLC in ANY RPG game ever, Larian have still a long way plot wise to reach that level of writing and they will reach it and might even succeed the legendary old Obsidian that existed once in good old golden days of gaming, although BG3 is 11/10 game fore me.
One can only hope for bright future of Larian.
