Hey guys

I absolutely loved the game, but my only criticism is the way Larian handled the difficulty of the game. I feel like they were VERY AFRAID of making the game too difficult for more casual players and causing them to suffer. Which for me is not logical because the player just needs to choose the appropriate difficulty level at the beginning of the journey.

FIRST: SAVING DURING COMBAT

This is so absurd it borders on idiocy. Obviously, some players will abuse this and spoil the immersion of the combat experience. Some say "just don't abuse it", Yes, I don't abuse it, but a good point of playing on higher difficulties is being able to discuss with friends how they overcome obstacles, look for tips, etc. Saving in combat mostly boils down to simply pressing f8 until the luck of the fight comes out perfectly (which is not natural).

SECOND: DIFFICULTY CHANGE DURING THE GAME

Speaks seriously. Let the players suffer the consequences of their choices. Larian looks like a doting mother afraid of hurting her child. Calm down, suffering to overcome obstacles is a nice part of games, many players like that, although I respect those who don't have patience too.

THIRD: NERF BERSERKER'S

Seriously, this class does it all. What's the point of her being so good both offensively and defensively? It looks like a tractor!! What's all this for? They take half damage and deal a lot of damage and lots of destructive attacks. For me it would simply remove the damage reduction or reduce the duration of the rounds. Basically you enter Rage and become a GOD in the game. By the way, the game is much easier for those who play berserker two hand, there are people even using more than 1 berserker in the group...

FINALLY: I UNDERSTAND those who don't like difficulty, I really do. But those who like a challenge also deserve respect and a little affection. I think they represent a large part of the community too, it is from them that the guides, various videos, etc. CHALLENGE is cool when done right, without backtracking, without inducing players to give up by lowering difficulty or constantly saving during combat. I hope you understand.

Since now,
Thanks for this amazing game!

You wanting a difficult game is fair enough. Then again, you can go Tactician and never save during combat or change your difficulty. If you do that, it is entirely your choice, so please do not complain that it brings down the difficulty of the game. I do agree that the game could use some sort of hardcore mode which disables all those little helpers, but taking it away completely is showing no respect to the players who struggle with the game.

My time is limited can not play all battles ten times. This is a problem because some fights are unfair! You lose because of RNG. So i wanna save during battles because i do not want to start the fight again. If Larian would make concentraition spells usefull maybe battles would be more controllable but as long as concentrations spells suck i will save during battles.

I don't really believe in making the game more difficult just for the sake of it being more difficult.
What's the point in curating the player's experience so much instead of giving them a choice?

You have all the instruments to make the game more challenging for yourself - and, at the same time, casual players retain the option to make the gameplay more forgiving.
Everybody wins.

That's what I do. But the larian with all this freedom of being able to change difficulty during the game, and save during combat, makes me seem like I'm just wasting time, as much as I enjoy challenges. My friends and some colleagues can abuse these mechanics and say that fight X or Y was easy, when it wasn't, they just didn't do it naturally, you know?

I'm not talking about removing these options from the game, a good idea would be to limit saving in combat and changing difficulty only when the journey was started in tactical mode, or maybe create another mode above tactical.

I understand, the fights really consume a lot of time, but then you would just choose an easier difficulty.

I'm not asking them to completely remove these options, just to also give options to those who don't like them other than "just don't use". As I explained above.

I explained above. It's not that simple.

Honestly I don't think the game is hard, even on tactician very little seems truly difficult. My only complaint is the game is too fast, many enemies can kill your tankiest characters in a single turn(and you can do the same) I would be okay with a general player and enemy damage nerf or health buff so that the outcome of combat isn't decided on the first turn

Examples the white gith in act one can kill 2 party members out right her first turn with action surge. Or kethric can basically one shot anyone.
And the player can 6 attackes per round barbarian thier way through any late game enemy.
