I think Actor is an interesting Feat. It gives you +1 CHA and Proficiency and Expertise in Deception and Performance. If you compare that to Skilled, which grants 3 Proficiencies, I think the obvious observation is you would never choose Deception and Performance as the Proficiencies from Skilled because you would gain 1 other Proficiency instead of +1 CHA and 2 Expertises. That's clearly worse, but I think part of the reason it is clearly worse is because Skilled is clearly bad.

I'm brainstorming some potential names for the Feats, but I think all of the following make sense:
+1 DEX and Proficiency and Expertise in Acrobatics and Stealth (Nimble?)
+1 INT and Proficiency and Expertise in investigation and History (Archaeologist?)
+1 INT and Proficiency and Expertise in Arcana and Religion (Occultism?)
+1 WIS and Proficiency and Expertise in Animal Handling and Medicine (Husbandry?)

Also:
+1 STR or +1 CHA and Proficiency and Expertise in Athletics and Intimidation (Intimidating Prowess?)
+1 DEX or +1 WIS and Proficiency and Expertise in Sleight of Hand and Perception (Opportunist?)
+1 INT or +1 WIS and Proficiency and Expertise in Nature and Survival (Naturalist?)
+1 WIS or +1 CHA and Proficiency and Expertise in Insight and Persuasion (Diplomatic?)

With Actor, that covers all of the natural combos, I think. You should also be allowed to move Proficiencies around so you don't have to respec before choosing something you want and wasting a proficiency or expertise slot. (E.g., a Rogue who is already Expert in Stealth should be allowed to take Nimble and also put a Proficiency and Expertise in some other skill.) Alternatively, you could add 9 more combos, such as Acrobatics + Athletics, Stealth + Investigation, Perception + Insight, Arcana + History, Nature + Medicine, Animal Handling + Survival, Intimidation + Deception, Religion + Persuasion, and Sleight of Hand + Performance. That way you would pretty much always have a decent choice that is thematically appropriate for your character.

The Skilled Feat should give you +1 to an attribute and you maybe you have to take proficiency in the skills governed by that attribute until you have them all, and only then gain proficiency in other skills. I'd probably combine Athletics with DEX-based skills as a group and let you take +1 STR, DEX, or CON for that group partly because there aren't very many good +1 CON feats. I would note that Skill Expert (from Tasha's Cauldron) gives you +1 to an attribute and Proficiency and Expertise with only one skill. That's also fine, but you would never take it for Deception or Performance because Actor is already available.

Is it too much of a joke to just say +1?

Yeah, Charisma classes (Sorcerers, Bards, Paladins and Warlocks) are spoiled for choice.

Evil always finds a way.
