So I went and tried to have tadpoles extracted. Machine went boom, so lazael says we should go report doctor as a traitor.
Attempting to do so, somehow magically reveals that we have the artifact.
There is absolutely no evidence for her to make this absolutely true accusation, and nothing that would have led to this outcome, so I am absolutely baffled at how it came about.
Ergo I can only surmise this must be a bug of somekind, skipping some dialogue options somewhere where she would have learned we have it.
Attempting deception to say we don't have it removes any option to report a traitor and only allows us to hand over the artifact, lie, or start a mass slaughter.
This is one of the more vexing results I have seen so far.
