I wrote a theory about a month ago about how I thought certain elements of the story would go. Some elements I guessed correctly- others are heavily implied but due to cut content are never concluded in act 3

Rogue Iliad party in conflict with the mindflayers, and said Iliad controlling and seducing the player

- Dopplers going to be using the player-albeit I was wrong on the guess of us being one

- Raphael being Mephistopheles, as he has 666 health and a direct portal to that realm in the house of hope

- Durge being an exclusively chaotic evil, with no thought to lawfully evil. Game entirety does not allow any meaningful lawfully evil content

- Respecing your char will be done via tadpole erasing your mind, we find out withers is a god, and hugly responsibile for the events in BG3, he encouraged the tadpole creation by encouraging the dead 3 to war.

I also had theories that came true:

Shadowheart can indeed become a cleric of Selűne, and was linked to her prior to Shar's service.

Dark Urge is indeed the son of Baal

Thanks to Larian for Baldurs Gate 3 and the reaction to player feedback

congratulations on some perspicacity!

SPOILER ALERT!!!

I, only later, upon meeting Aylin, realized that the Shadow Heart had a lot in common with Selune.
In general, I think EA wove the Emperor's plot much more interestingly, and those dream guards by preemptively seducing were unclear to me. On the other hand, in the full version of the game, I knew right away that something was wrong and what kind of creature was behind that guard. But for example, I didn't expect him to be a Balduran.

In general, Larian disappointed me when it comes to the handling of the story, the intertwining of events, the consequences to companions and in general. It feels portentous that this game is like someone cut off the sense of a lot of things in half plus to that I'm not sure if just the lack of consistency or sense of events is due to bugs or just plain poor game development. Very sad...

Yes EA version was for me also 10X better. Guardian is a poor replacement. The scenes still exist in the game files. Moders and data miners did in fact find them. Such a strange decision to remove good content. I would have rather seen BG3 pushed back until November then move it earlier. Act 4 is entirely missing, and I beat the game already. So many loose ends where story just drops dead

a much better procedure in my opinion would be to tempt the player to romance with the Guardian at the stage of dreams in order to discover his true form much later. it would be a surprise. and yes, we got now something what stinks.
Act 2 is too short in this case, and many of stories, companions reactions or connections to clues are not even good solved.
