I have the axe, but when i try to place on the side of the broken glass it keeps knocking me out

Having this same problem. I have the three ceremonial weapons and rusty mace. I'm able to put all weapons on the respective pedestals except the ceremonial battleaxe. I just keep getting a "target is blocked" message when trying to move the battleaxe onto the pedestal. No issues with the other three.

There's a room you can jump into near the big locked door to the temple (the main one). There's hostile kobolds about and also this item.
