I thought multiplayer would work in this game like it did in DOS2 where I could join a friends game and take over one of his party members, but when I join an existing game it forces me to create a new custom character, which permanently removes one of his party members and then my custom character is forever stuck in his party and in his game. I thought custom character creation was for starting a new campaign, not for campaigns in progress? I've heard some say that it works with drop-in/drop-out but for my friends and I, it doesn't. So which is it? This seems like a major bug to me if I can't join a friends game without messing up his party composition permanently with a custom character.
