I had this issue before the original Hotfix 4. I could not load any of my saves. I tried every fix on the Larian guide and none of them helped the issue. Hotfix 4 actually solved my problem and I was able to play again. However, when Hotfix 4 was redeployed, the issue came back. I cannot load any saves from the Hotfix 4 version, nor can I load any saves from before the Hotfix version. I have tried bypassing the launcher, bypassing steam, running as admin, deleting the cache, verifying the steam files, creating an exception with Windows Defender, ensuring my drivers are up to date, running the game on a clean boot, and disabling cloud saves. I can create a new save file, new character, save and load it just fine, but everything in my current save file will not load. Any ideas?

Same issue. Never had a problem before the current patch but now if I try to load any save the game crashes when the save is 60% loaded.

I think mine is the same. I'd struggled with sometimes having my saved games available to load sometimes not (would restart computer, verify files etc). Was so frustrated earlier this week as the the most recent saved game I could load was about 12 hrs of play behind where I was so didn't try (I can see the saved game in the file folder but not in the game menu).

The other day updated, loaded and voila - my saved game - didn't have time to play so left it but was hopefully optimistic. Now today, managed to get into the game, was back to old saved game files, restarted and now I can't even start the game, it freezes and won't load.

Have reverified the files through Steam x3 times - NOTHING!!

Still no solutions I can find. I opened my original ticket a week ago and have not heard from Larian yet, though I know those poor devs must be swamped. I just really wish I could play the game.
