Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Act II Battlefield Problem?

I have updated this game with all the patches. After the latest one I have had to reconfigure the keyboard controls (i.e. "C" to have the characters put their weapons away so they don't accidently kill all those pesky imps).

I have gone through the first two dungeons in the Act II Battlefield. Killed everything & explored all the floors. However, after I get to the last floor in each dungeon there is no boss creature to fight. Is this correct? Are they all waiting to gang up on me in other dungeons? Am I going to have to start this <insert your favorite expletive here> game over? <whimper>

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Some of the dungeons will have a boss with a quest item
Some of the dungeons will have no boss and a Quest item on the ground
Some dungeons will have no boss and no quest Item
Some dungeons will have 2 or 3 bosses and 2 or 3 quest items.

It is all random, you do not have to restart the game

I have another problem, I have the level 6 key but the last dungeon is still locked. Anyone else experience this?

I have never had that problem. Do you have 6 keys? If not, you may have the #5 key - sometimes the "5" and "6" kinda look the same if you read the text fast.

It's 6, I'm sure of it.

I still can't unlock it. A bug maybe?

Utumno, did you clear the lava cave in the south fire area? Where you could only enter via pyramid tossing? The cave had water elementals => and there is the key number 6.

Yes, that's the key I picked up.

If you bring up the Icon to go to/from the Battlefield, it should have a small number in the top left corner. this indicates the level of access you have, so if you think you have the level 6 key, it should say 6 in the corner.

Me again,

New problem in Battlefield...I have the level 4 key. Shows me as level 4 as long as I'm not IN Battlefield. Once I go there it shows me as level 1.

Anyone else have this problem, or offer suggestions?

That is by design. There is only one way to leave the BF, so only one exit level.

I've got the level 6 key for certain. Is this a bug that's been noted for an upcoming patch?

Dunno if this will work, but do you collect the BF keys (ie put them in your inventory)? if you do try left clicking on each of them in turn.

I had a similar problem where I just picked up the keys and didn't get the "you now have access to lvl XX battlefield" message and it wouldn't let me enter the dungeons

I ended up with an extra key for BF lvl 1. Don't know if this is another random generated possibility or not. Also the number of dungeons doesn't seem to be only three. Act II has 6 dungeons in it. I've found two keys for lvls 1 and 2. I always pick them up though I read you don't have to do this. I don't recall now if I get the meassage that I can enter a dungeon when click on the key on the ground or when I drag it to my inventory. I'm pretty sure it is only when you first click on it though.
