so in regards to the barbarian class when the class feature Unarmored Defense about constitution mean wearing no armour at all as in wandering around in birthday suit or the clothing that mages use?

You can wear clothing.

Unarmored Defense works with robes or monk clothes, yes. You can still equip a shield and/or have a mage cast mage armor on you or wear Bracers of Defense.

You can, of course, also run around in your undies if you want...

Of course, if you do want to be a naked berserker, I think that’s on brand.
