I went ahead and let Gale sacrifice himself to save the world. We had a touching goodbye. The Githyanki will revere him for it, along with his companions. And as I look out at the bay thinking of my lost friend-

"The Crown - it's somewhere in the Chionthar. If I salvage the stones I could reforge it..."

Gale! You're alive!

For a moment I thought it might be one of those talk with a figment of your dead friend type scenes, but no it's just Gale's epilogue I suppose.

I don't remember this scene playing out before on a run Gale didn't accompany me on. Is this a known bug, or am I just unlucky? I didn't find another thread that mentioned it.

Some should tell the others as they solemnly react to his sacrifice in the next scene

lol for me it was Wyll giving me dialogue about his abducted father right as I had already saved him in the abducted throne. He was like "We can't rest until my father is free."

I was like, honey, your father is standing in front of you, are you OK? That dialogue came after his dialogue about me saving his father. Then, with his father the dialogue says Wyll sold his soul to save him, but I actually broke the pact and still saved Ravenguard, so Wyll sold nothing. Act 3 is very scuffed.
