Ye gods, the guy is trying so hard to sell this game. Everything is 'awesome' and 'Larian did such a great job on' this, that and the other. Check out 11:27 and his introduction to the mace in the monastery. You would think it was the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.
He's so busy brown-nosing Larian that he talks the biggest load of nonsense. A short while before this he picked up a githyanki longsword which he somehow read as a greatsword. When he looked at the spec he was amazed that it was versatile - "this would make a great one-handed weapon for same one". At the same time you could hear the confusion in his voice as the damage wasn't the damage for a greatsword and was less than the Everburn sword that Karlach was using.
The puzzle with the statues in the Inquisitors office "was a good puzzle". The despite him failing to solve it - he just kept turning the statues until the wall moved. He did that off-camera so he may well have looked up the solution on the web.
I can't believe how bad at this game he is given the zillion hours he put into EA. He is worse than me and I don't count myself as any kind of expert. He's somehow running around without a shovel, lockpicks or trap kits at this stage. He doesn't seem to realise that you can hide helmets but he is prattling on about how he is going to dye his armour at some stage in the future.
I'm finally ready to move to Act 2 but I think I'll take the Underdark route so I don't bump into him.
You can enjoy a game and have criticisms. Or even not care about common criticisms.
If you've seen Wolfheart play a Diablo game, he'll reveal himself as not the sort of person who cares about meta. Or even the "right" way. He doesn't look things up. He doesn't read spoilers. He lives in the moment and is a generally very positive person. That's who he's /always/ been.
If you're waiting for his critique, that'll probably happen only when he's finished the game.
Absolutely no reason for an unpleasant post just made for the sake of pouring scorn on a specific individual. Everyone is entitled to like the game and to say it publicly, and to play it however they wish, without being called names. We don't accept personal attacks here, whether on fellow forum members or anyone else. Given that it's a public, open forum, anyone should be considered a potential reader.
Locking this. And this is the second time recently I've noticed Beechams having a go at Wolfheart. It should also be the last.
"You may call it 'nonsense' if you like, but I've heard nonsense, compared with which that would be as sensible as a dictionary!"
