I think I captured the question in the subject line. I have the majority of the game files installed on an external SSD that I would like to have recognized by a new Steam Install on a new PC that I upgraded to. Suggestions or tips greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Install Steam, create a new Steam Library and point it to the existing one on the SSD, then proceed to install the games as usual. Steam will notice any existing files there and will skip downloading those.
