Can anyone tell me what I may have missed to enable me to pass Ferguson in the opening area? I'm at level 2, can find no other passages etc, and can't get past Ferguson.

The only way to get past him is to kill him. If you ahve a few health potions he is not that tough.

Make sure that you have killed everything possible up to that point including all the rats where you first started. every little bit of exp helps.
