Hello.

There's an option to make non lethal fights so what about making them....non lethal!?

I mean, if I want to spare some "enemies" which are not effectively, I should be able to!

I managed to refuse Nettie's proposal and I had to fight her. I activated non lethal mod and she was considered as dead later in quest log....seriously?

Same about Minthara who seems to be recruitable...

That's stunning to die when you're just stunned.

Yes, I have the same issue, the "non-lethal" and they still die or game counts them as dead.
Basically, this part with "non-lethal" consequences is not implemented as I understood.

Keep in mind that NPCs only count as knocked out by in-game logic if they bear the Temporarily Hostile tag underneath their health bar. If they do not have this tag then they're a permanently hostile entity which is intended to get killed and removed from the story.

In your case Nettie was permanently hostile at that point so even if you knocked her out and she lived in the Grove, she'd still attack you as soon as she saw you the next time and by doing so pull the entire Grove against you, which would break quests and locations. So to avoid this from happening they made it so that NPCs without the tag count as killed and get removed from the world.

I wish as much as everyone that it wasn't so, but it is how it is unfortunately.

It makes no difference except for a very few NPCs, and generally the game will try to prompt you with someone asking you to subdue them, and in EA there were a couple enemies that had surrender dialogue when they fell below certain HP and non-lethal attacks could also be used to get them to surrender without killing them by accident. I've not tried this in the full release.

I do wish there were a bit more to it. I recognise that it could get complicated very quickly if characters who should be dead in certain plot branches are actually alive, and to add appropriate dialogue, but it does feel like something more could be done.

That was calculated and assumed, Nettie was hostile and she would, maybe, remain hostile after she awakes. But let me tell you something, when you barely escape death, that makes you think a lot and Nettie is supposed to be smart and not an idiot (even if she reacts as an idiot, fighting some guys she doesn't even know with her low capacities).
Anyway, even if she remains hostile and all the droods as well, I would not care as my point is only to spare the ones I consider important and useful.
