So, are you telling me in this game you HAVE to do a very CERTAIN and SPECIFIC steps in order to have romance?? Like, one specific step in each act?
What a freakin nonsense. How should I know when one Act ends and the other begins? The game has no indications of it, I only found that there are 3 acts on the web.
How should I know you should take actions during SPECIFIC events?? Like for Act 1, it seems to be tiefling party. Guess what, I didn't have Karlach, Laezel and Will until AFTER that party. So this automatically means their romance options are cancelled?? Despite I have MAX approval rating with Karlach, I cannot proceed now? She even straight out says she loves me after we completed her personal quest, but that's it, no further development and it seems the end of the game is near.
And I was super-nice with Shadowheart, I did everything for her, but I refused just ONE specific option with her - to drink wine together. Because my character doesn't drink any alcohol, that's called role-playing. And that's it, her option is also cancelled?

Whoever thought such nit-picky requirements is a great idea is a moron. Such kind of specific conditions requires you to look for the spoilers on the web - something I would never do.

Oh well, means my character will remain single laugh

Except there are NO choices. I thought in the RPG it is relationships and dialogue options that matter. But no, here you can have perfect relationships, be always polite and nice, but miss one certain event, miss one certain long rest or ONE certain phrase and that's it. This is called bad design and poor implementation.

Just like real life, once you get put into the "friend zone", good luck getting out. I like the way they did it.

^good joke, but still there is nothing like in real life. Again, for example, Karlach wasn't in my team during tiefling party. Thus her romance options was blocked by stupid game design, not by her friend-zoning my character, bro wink She just didn't have a chance to reject me and vice versa.
