I started a d20 project for BG3 that I'd like to share the beginnings of.
What is happening is that I've created 18 different characters for the game, numbered 2-19. Every time I go to play the game I roll a d20 and then play the character that corresponds to the roll of the die. A Nat 1 means I DON'T play that time around and instead go and do something actually productive. (non-essential errands, art, cleaning, etc.). A Nat 20 means I get my choice of whatever I feel like playing for that session. I'm 28 rolls into this project so far, and while I haven't compiled screenshots/stats/stories/etc. as of yet, I do have some limited information. So far:
- Only 1 of my 18 chars has begun exploring the underdark.
- Only 1 of my 18 chars has completed the Githyanki Creche storyline.
- Only 1 of my 18 chars has reached Act 2 (and only JUST)
- Only 2 of my 18 chars have defeated the Hag.
- Only 3 have found Waukeens Rest.
- 4 of 18 haven't been rolled yet.
My dice rolls also seem to favor lower end rolls. Just like my tabletop life!
I'll work on getting more to post in the future here.
(Oh yes.. I also do a coin flip to see if that character I roll adventures naked or not for that session).
This is certainly one way to see as much of this game as possible!
