Hello,

Since release I have noticed now that my game takes longer and longer to get to the main menu when starting up. It just sits at 100% sort of frozen for a good 1-2 minutes every time.

Not sure what I can share log wise to help troubleshoot the issue.

Looks like a lot of people are getting this.
If you use DirectX, try switching to Vulkan.

Yeah I don’t want to switch to Vulkan. Is Larian aware of this? Makes no sense there isn’t some fix.

So if you're using Steam, the "verify integrity of game files" option when checking the properties of the game in your library can help.
I've successfully used it once and can play again... but no idea if this issue will repeat itself

I am using GoG. Does Larian not respond to tech issues here?

No, they have a zero communication policy.

You can submit bugs here: https://larian.com/support/faqs/how-to-submit-a-bug-report_85 (look for the link at the end of the article).

I figured this out from some other posts. This is 100% GOG and the overlay it uses causing the game to freeze up for 3-5+ minutes each time when starting up. Turn off the overlay feature in GOG settings:

What is odd is that this was never an issue on release and a few weeks after. It only started recently happening.
