Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Suggestions Difficulty level changing problem even after 1.45!

Hey everyone, I changed the difficulty level of <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> from Action to Hardcore and now that I want to go back to the easy level it seems to be impossible, although patch 1.44 was supposed to fix this issue. So when I load a game it automatically sets the difficulty to hardcore because that's how it was saved and I can't change it from the options. I can only change the difficulty level when I start the game which doesn't affect my saved games. I would really appreciate it if this problem could be solved somehow.

I think it is deliberate that you can not lower the difficulty level once you are in hardcore. Do you still have a save from when you were playing under action?

Even a moderate stat boost would make hardcore easier, if you can not reload a previous save.

If you choose hardcore you can't change it anymore. With other difficulties you can.

Think of the benefits... er... You have 1/3 chance to get an extra bonus skillpoint at each levelup, for each of the two characters.
