The game literally gives you a cutscene option to kill Lae'ezel. Allows you to supposedly end her. But if you do so, there are so many things broken after that.

1. Nobody even acknowledges that she is dead and gone. If you simply banish Astarion from your camp, everyone else comments on how they will or will not miss him. But you straight up slash Lae'zel's throat and nobody has a single thing to say? Not even Shadowheart?

2. Her corpse is permanently in your camp. No matter how many times you move your camp, her corpse is at her tent. Doesn't seem to bother anyone. Heck, even the Tiefling party later in act 1 has people literally having drinks on top of her. No issues.

3. I go to the Astral Prism to talk to the all knowing Dream Visitor and she tells me that if I defy the Githyanki Queen, my Githyanki companion will be upset. You mean the companion that has been dead for days now? That companion will be upset? Surely you know that she is dead?

4. The best one is after the creche stuff, Voss shows up to my camp and guess what? Lae'zel is miraculously alive now! Talking to him and the game even allows me to gesture towards her to give her commands during the cutscene.

That was the last straw for me and I stopped this playthrough. I don't know what else nonsense happens even beyond this. But for a game that is being touted as one that offers you many choices and respects them, its very strange that such a major choice is so jarringly being ignored. This is not some new issue either as I submitted a bug report couple days after launch. Waited to see if Patch 1 fixed it and it did nothing for it. So, submitted another one. And when I google, apparently there have been similar issues even during Early Access. I realize making such a complex game is a huge understanding, but if a choice that you are offering breaks so much, why hasn't the choice been removed? At least that would make the rest of the playthrough not as jarring? Based on the cut content reports, Larian certainly has no qualms about removing chunks of the game that were already created. I totally get that you have to do that from time to time. Not complaining about that. But why is broken content left in when cutting content is not something you have an issue with?

And each time you find some Gith relic, your Tav keeps repeating that s/he is supposed to show it to Lae'zel ... pretty morbid.

I still dont understand why cant we change Race for our hirelings. frown
Lets us play Githyanki as racist as they trully are! frown

It seems killing Astarion also bring similar result. It seems they didn't plan that anyone would actually chose to kill the Origin companion... the option should indeed be removed if theres nothing planned to reflect their death in the story. That's bad for a full release.

Yup. I didn't kill Astarion in my playthrough, but did banish him from my camp. When I encountered Grandel, I was still given the option to tell him the location of my camp so he could go hunt Astarion. Wyll, who was in my party commented about how its cold to leave a companion out to dry, even though he is a vampire. Astarion hadn't been in my party for a while by then and when I got rid of him, Wyll approved of it. But later, he and the game seems to be under the impression that he is still a party member.

Its great that we get these kinda choices with our companions, but if you are not going to actually adapt to killing or getting rid of them, allowing this option is a very big detriment to the game.

I killed Astarion when he puled a knife on me near the beach. There wasn't any dialogue option with Gandrel to say Astarion was dead.

I'll put this in spoilers for the sake of other people.

From what I understand, Voss is supposed to visit the camp some time after the creche? I'm in Act 2, just outside Moonrise Towers and haven't seen Voss since the Risen Road scene. Is something broken or am I missing something?

He showed up for me after I left the creche and tried to go to the Underdark. Got forced into a long rest and the cutscene during the area transition.
