I am playing a ranger on the character sheet I have +5 slight of hand, I am 17 dex yet when i try to picks a lock it shows slight of hand of only +2. Is this a bug or am I not understanding slight of hand?

The way it shows skills in the die roll interface is a bit weird. On your character sheet it shows Ability Score Modifier and Proficiency bonus added together (for your total of +5), but on the roll screen it will list Dexterity (+3) and Proficiency (+2) separately.
