Will it be local co-op, online co-op, both or neither?

Not that I’ve played multiplayer myself, but my understanding is that there’s two player split screen co-op, or alternatively up to four players online co-op, running their own instances of the game.

So, you couldn't have two people with split screen and someone else online, all playing together?

I have played the local split screen co op on PS5 and it is great fun. Not sure how it would work combined with online multi though.

Can I ask how far did you get? I've heard that people who are experiencing freezes and lag don't do so until ~20 hours of play time.
