Yesterday, I played multiplayer with some friends new to cRPGs, and we faced a common question: "What do we do next?" They checked their quest log and found an entry like "get help from Auntie Ethel." I realize this quest is optional, and since we're playing as a 'good' party, the quest is essentially resolved. But it raises the question: why does it still appear in the quest log, and why isn't it marked as completed?
These are valid points. During my solo playthrough in Act 3, I encountered similar ambiguities. For example, there's a quest titled "Deal with the Devil" that prompts me to speak with Raphael. But I've already done that and declined his offer, effectively completing that quest.
I'd like to suggest improvements for the quest log. Could there be a way to distinctly show choice-driven paths or resolved quest lines? Maybe players could manually mark quests, add notes, tick a checkbox, or some other innovative method to clarify their progress.
