i shouldn't have to roll a perception check for a lever i can see with my two eyes sitting there. but i also can't interact with it unless my characters pass the perception check (they did not). but it is literally sitting in plain sight next to a table.

this is in the morgue in the shadow cursed land.

Weird because some stuff with perception checks does works even without you succeeding the perception check (like that button on Jergal crypt).

Try to shoot it with an arrow?

i just save scummed it until i succeeded. clicking on it just made my character walk over and stand on it lol

The amount of Perception checks makes the elf racial all the more better than the other races. Meanwhile Nature checks stop after the plants in the Underdark in Act 1 and Survival/Religion checks also come to a crawl beyond Act 1.
