OP The Red Queen Volunteer Moderator Joined: Feb 2022 Location: UK	Hi folks, Has anyone else had any problems completing Oskar's quest in Act 3? I like the idea of this quest, but have found its execution massively frustrating at times, and now I'm stuck. Quest commentary and specific issue detailed in spoiler tags below. I found getting through Lady Jannath's house to the attic tedious, having to walk each of my party members through individually in turn-based mode due to constant combat. Plus the first time I visited I didn't have any way of removing curses so I kept getting blasted by those skulls. (There may well be another way of dealing with them than Remove Curse, in which case grrr!!!) And then having to slowly walk through the house again as more poltergeists had spawned while I was away getting the item to destroy the possessed portrait just added more frustration on top. But the final straw was after destroying the possessed portrait, when the spirit of Oskar's lost love appeared and then just stood there doing nothing. The journal said she'd gone to find Oskar but she hadn't, and if I go and try to talk to him or Lady Jannath then I can click on them but nothing happens. Did anyone else have better luck? Is this just user error? "You may call it 'nonsense' if you like, but I've heard nonsense, compared with which that would be as sensible as a dictionary!"

Don�t think you were supposed to destroy anything though� there�s a whole other section to this quest that is MUCH longer. Remember the human (This is a forum for a video game):

I thought I'd tried all the damage types I had available, but I'm guessing that I missed one. I was already getting a bit peeved with the whole design so may have been overhasty Second time through the house I had Shadowheart with Remove Curse so that made things much easier. To be clear, when I say I destroyed the possessed portrait, I mean that I clicked it on it while holding the torch that I'd got from Mystic Carrion, which caused the portrait to go poof and the spirit of the Lost Love to appear and the quest to update, it's just that she didn't go and find Oskar as the journal said she had. I'm not sure if it was patch 2 or just long resting, but I went back a couple of days later and all the actors were in the right place, the cutscene triggered, and the quest is complete! "You may call it 'nonsense' if you like, but I've heard nonsense, compared with which that would be as sensible as a dictionary!"
