In act 2, Arabella is shown to have acquired Naturistic magic, and she is told... nay... forced, by Withers to leave the group, because "destiny" wand whatnot. After this, she leaves in act 3... leaving a note

I personally would have rather this not happen, I would have as a druid gladly taken her as an apprentice.

But it is what it is. I have a request... I want to be able to help her on her journey, and send someone with her to accompany her.

I dont know how alone she has to be for this journey. But there is one being I can think of, that I would trust to stand by her side during this...

At the end of act 2, before she leaves, I want to give her the owlbear cub to be her protector and companion on whatever journey she must undertake.

Near as I can tell, the cub doesnt have much to do in act 3... I dont think he can become a familiar...

Arabella needs someone to be there by her side in whats to come, owlbears are often rejected by druids because they are thought of as unnatural things, just like druids... but they are creatures of nature, and natural magic is likely what changed them.

There are thematic reasons, practical reasons... and just heartwarming reasons.

Whatever is to come, I just... I dont want Arabella to be alone for it, she needs him more than I do... And she would love him, and care for him, more than I ever could.

I have not tested this myself, but I did see a report of being able to revivify/resurrect her father in the House of Healing which will change her presence in Act 3. I too found it very strange that her quest arc abruptly end with her standing alone in a sewer with nothing to say or do.

That is interesting, I'll try that in my next playthrough.

I heard about the last sentence, that there is content, maybe it bugged out?

But Owly stays with me, sorry. Owly and Scratch are my most treasured camp companions.

I just reached the House of Healing and, unfortunately, the report I heard was either rumor or wishful thinking. I see no way to revivify or otherwise heal either parent. You can cast Speak with the Dead on Locke (father), but there is no interaction otherwise. Arabella seems like another NPC arc mired in a half-baked idea.

Yeah, I have no idea what the point of Arabella was.

"The statue changed me and now I have destiny." Um, okay, sure, but could you maybe have done that in a different game?

All I can imagine is that it's another dropped story thread.

The Bone Man is isolating her for his own purposes. Shame on you for letting an innocent young girl be groomed by that old pervert right under your nose, and shame on you for letting him send her off somewhere alone.

Yeah Big Hero you turned out to be.

You can so long as you don't have the dialogue where The Bone Man ships her off to his clients.
