Hello,
I cannot find this specific answer here, so hopefully some helpful True Soul will lend a hand. (I said lend a hand, not take one!)

First, a political statement: I hate Steam. For reasons.

So I want to run BG3 either directly (shortcut) or via LariLauncher. But when I do, there is no Cross Save checkbox in the Options menu.

However, when I launch BG3 via Steam launcher, the Cross Saves checkbox is there.

Now, I know this sounds like an intuitive question... "just run steam", and my reply will be, see above. I hate Steam. I don't want to. The LariLauncher promises I can use Cross Saves with a Larian account, which I have. Yet, no checkbox.

Any ideas? If "It only works with Steam" is the answer, then that's unfortunate, but I'll live with it.

Bump, I have the same issue, not that I hate Steam, but its just faster to run it directly without first launching Steam. Did you ever find a solution to this issue?

Thank you for the bump. There is similar thread with us attempting to cross save within the game interface for specific purpose. This post led me to look at Steam settings. It is late and will have to explore at another time, but I did notice you can turn off cloud storage of saves entirely. That makes me less anxious, to try the following work around until another option is identified. Basically, you overwrite an existing save with the one you want filed under a different campaign. If you do find a more direct way, please share.
