I had been playing the game since launch without any issues. Randomly a few days ago (I don't even think it was because of the patch) the INITIAL loading is over 10 minutes long. This is something that, up till a few days ago, was 30 seconds at most.

In-game loading is the same. Makes no sense. Potential further help: it doesn't seem like its even TRYING to load. The little loading spinner just freezes for like 8 minutes then picks back up and loading completes very soon after. I saw something about deleting files and recaching but I'm terrified of losing my save. Thanks.

Switching to Vulkan gets me RIGHT in, maybe even faster than before.

But it introduces other issues. I'd love to just go back to a working DX11.

+1 First off, let me tell you that 10 min makes you a lucky guy, for me its like 15-20 min, but at least it gives me some time to do some chores around my flat. grin I have the same problem. Actually three. When I try to run the game either what you are descirbing happens, or the game imediately CTDs, or it loads perfectly but there is no audio playing. Verifing game data did nothing, same as reinstalling the game from sratch to a different folder. What did help however, was installing the game to a different HDD, which is unfortunately not SSD disc and playing it from this disc makes the game incerdibely laggy and after some time unplayable. It probably has something to do with Patch 2 which seems to completely bug (freezing, crashing, performance, gameplay) the game at least according to all the reports here on forums. Personally I think the game should have been at least one another year in EA. hehe

Disregard my last. Managed to actually launch it from the first disc, the SSD, and it actually feels like its even more laggy than normal HDD. grin
