A while back, we were discussing here, that there would be no narrative reason why you couldn't *not* resolve the Druid Grove quest. I did that.

So, you can explore all of the dark place with no repercussions, but if you take a certain mountain path prior to fixing their problem and return, this is what happens:

This is fair. I'm not too far into Act 2 yet, so don't know what happens with their visitors, but I suspect I won't encounter anyone.

I will at some point steal an certain relic / kill a certain druid to see if this *still* happens, but there's only so much I can play.
For those interested, if you go this route then:

The Gobbo Camp plays out exactly the same, except that Halsin is dead, which was to be expected but also a shame. I would've liked to see him react to the Rite being enacted. You can talk to his corpse and find his Journal to set your sights on Act 2, but so does the bit in the Mountain Pass. You can tell Minthara about the rite of Silavnus being enabled, but she doesn't care and wants you along for the raid.

Now. I let her leave, and figured I'd kill every other goblin after she left [because I everything else I could until then, and was level six by the time I got there, it was a rofl-stomp]. BUt if you do, she respawns where she started off and you have to kill her, too. A shame, I had hoped I found a way to recruit her without having to kill the Grove. Oh well.

There is no party scene at your camp, but it does trigger everyone into romance-mode regardless. It's a bit werid.

Fear my wrath, for it is great indeed.

Doesn't that also happen if you take too many rests? I’ve not seen it though.

I thought it would have also been good if you could persuade Minthara to let the refugees pass in exchange for screwing over druids. She’s convinced the druids have the weapon, so she she shouldn’t really be that bothered about murdering civilians for no reason.

Incidentally, I find it funny that the druids are all about “build the wall” (tm), but not a single one of them is on guard duty or gets involved in either attack. They leave their own defence entirely in the hands of the people they want to evict, the gits. They’re lucky the only apparent way to help the refugees happened to included fixing their mess as well.

Can you use fly or misty step to get over the wall? Asking for a friend.

Only if you pick the wrong side, iirc.
