Since Patch 2 came out, all of my saved games up to this point appear to be corrupted. This is what happens:
- I was using one mod - a highlight all mod - prior to the Patch.
- I have uninstalled and deleted the mods and deleted the modsettings file.
- I try to load any prior saved game and I get the "we were unable to create a working story, your add-on setup might be invalid." error. However the game still loads.
- I save, either quicksave or new save.
- Trying to load the newly saved game causes BG3 to instantly quit upon loading at 100%
Looks like I'll have to start from the beginning because this seems to occur for all of my saved games since I started playing going back to the base install. Not sure if there's a file I need to delete that I haven't yet or what, but it's hard for me to believe that one mod could cause so much damage.
Or, you know, Larian could add an option in the game to highlight more stuff so I don't feel like I'm playing a "find the hidden object that might have loot" mini game...just saying
