He has so much backup I’m easily getting overwhelmed. I figured to cheese it by casting daylight on the sarcophagus in front of Szarr which kills him before the fight even begins but I still get destroyed by the monsters. It’s not that satisfying to have him die like that but whatever.

Any tips I can use?? i have tav, astorian, gale, and jaheira as my party all level 10. Good area attacks but doesn’t do enough damage in time. Same with casting a minor elemental to protect, they kill it quickly because there’s so many and they have higher initiative! I’m on easy mode too!!

Cazador is tough. Come back when you're level 12.


If you just disconnect Astarion from the party and initiate dialogue with the other 3, you can begin the fight without Cazador getting the ritual buffs. Then, just have Astarion come down the stairs and join the fight. This still gives him the final confrontation with Cazador and makes the fight infinitely easier. I always made sure to level 6 counterspell Chatterteeth's eyebite as well.

did it, killed him with daylight before the cutscene and astarion was in the fight since he didn’t join the ritual, area spells / arrow of many targets / pushing off cliffs somehow = done (at level 10 explorer mode at least)
