They're bluetooth and can communicate with PCs and designed to work with VTTs like Roll20 and Foundry. It would be really cool if Larian could do an integration with BG3 for skill rolls, so you can roll real dice rather than a skinned RNG. I'd definitely buy a second D20 for Advantage/Disadvantage rolls if they did lol.
In my experience, dice with lights and stuff inside don’t roll well. The weight and balance are off. They will favor certain side and numbers more often than a real dice.
