Jaheira has a house in the Lower City, and in it is her family of wards. All well and good. However, her "teenage by elven standards" daughter and ten years old human daughter talk of Minsc as if he taught them to throw hatchets and climb trees while they were little... But Minsc spent the past century and some change as a stone statue, and then immediately became the Stone Lord. When exactly did he meet her kids?

That does confuse me as well. However, that is not the only thing. Considering that Jaheira was part of the original BG team, she in this game must be about 160-200 years old. She is a half-elf. According to the Forgotten Realms lore, half-elves live up to 120-160 years on an average depending on lifestyle and the type of elf they are.

So, if we accept that Jaheira lived a super healthy life and therefore lived past her expected life span, she still is supposed to be the equivalent of a human woman in her 90s. How is she running around wielding blades? Why is she even alive?

I am also vaguely curious if she adopted those kids? If the daughter is an elf then the timeline might just about work, as elves are not considered adults until around they turn about 100. That being said I think they should still look physically adult long before they turn 100.

I am forever grateful for Larian not openly going with the canon Baahlspawn Abdel “he who should not be named” Adrian from the books, and instead used gender neutral ways to describe them or just called them Gorion’s Ward.

My initial thoughts were that all those different children were done to throw some ambiguity out there as to Jaheria possibly being the Bhaalspawn's love interest (since the Bhaalspawn could be a number of different races). Kinda like how
we had a 'jacc deviir' datamined at the beginning of EA that could have been bhaalspawn's kid.
.

Though obviously Larian didn't go with the stuff regarding the spoiler and any material regarding that was cut a long time ago.

In addition to the timeline issue and the stuff regarding spoiler though, both Jaheria and Minsc use masculine pronouns to refer to the Bhaalspawn in certain places. So if there intention was to create some ambiguity and allow our Bhaalspawn's to exist by making stuff like gender/race/love interests ambiguous, they did a rather messy job unfortunately.

Eeep. Gonna continue my policy of just not asking those two about the past. hahaha

Was the transition from statue to stone lord immediate? There are a handful of comics where Minsc goes on adventures after being cured, and Jaheira even tells you the last time she saw him, they were investigating the Absolute cult in the Underdark. So there's a feasible amount of time where he could have met Jaheira's kids before becoming the stone lord, if I'm not getting the timeline outrageously wrong.

The newspaper states that the Beloved Ranger statue has been stolen during the night fairly recently, and there were signs of struggle. This was the baddies taking and unpetrifying him for their own gain; "Jaheira" (the doppelganger) was the first thing Minsc saw when unstoned.
