Hey everyone!

Before getting started I wanted to thank Larian Games for the sheer speed at which they're patching and adding content and fixes, as a player and sometimes developer of non-gaming software I highly appreciate it, and I'm sure many others do smile

So obviously this new feature was added so friends could drop-in and out of your game without forcing you to keep their character in the party, allowing you to "put them in a box", which is great; We have found a few things which could be improved with my family and friends however...

  • The game should not warn you anymore about not being able to remove players from the party, this message may have been a leftover.
  • It would be nice if joining players could select their preferred character OR to create a new character, or at least if the Game Host could change such options.
  • If the prior option is not a possibility, it would be a good idea to be able to also permanently delete other people's characters from your game, not just disabling them temporarily, this way, a new Character Creation could somehow be enforced by the host, (or if the host simply wanted to cleanup their Withers Wardrobe, they could also do it).

These issues and improvements stem from the following example:
Let's say my brother joins my co-op game (or viceversa) and creates a character. After this, anyone else who might join the game is forced to use his character unless he is already in the game.

In that scenario, then the game prompts the new player with a "Who are you?" and the Character creation screen.

This means once the character slot(s) have been created, no one else may join and create a new character unless it goes over the maximum amount of players joined (2 or 3) or the hard limit (4).

Anyways, those are my thoughts, I hope some of this feedback can be useful.
Thanks again to all the developers at Larian for the great content and work on this game, you did a fantastic work.

Regards,
Dylan

Similar issues with my campaign. I have about 5 people who want to play, but can only play inconsistently.

The first night, we had 3 people, so 3 player characters. No problems so far. Next night, one player couldn't play, so we got another of our friends to join. But he was unable to create his own character and was simply assigned the character of the player who wasn't there.

It is a little frustrating and I wish there was a solution.

Loving the game, just wishing this issue could be resolved. Why they hell do you have so many slots in the wardrobe if you it can really only hold 3 characters?

Having this same issue. Not only do I want my friends to be able to create their own characters when they join (even if there are pre-existing tavs in the warddrobe)..I want to create a new character for myself too! I have a save file specifically for end game build testing / endgame shenanigans - and the only way to create a new custom character is to join my own session with a second instance of the game - but I still can't get rid of my original character if I want to play a different character for when my friends join. Even if I put my original character into the wardrobe, or other tavs, there's no way to delete anything and leave myself with one new custom character. Of course a mirror that allows me to change race and everything from scratch would fix this for the most part, but also to be able to delete tavs from the warddrobe.

Running into this exact situation. It's really confusing how Larian just seems incapable of implementing these multiplayer features in a way that makes sense. I really don't mean to be rude here guys but... c'mon. People were complaining about these issues 3 years before launch and they're still not properly fixed...

You've got a wardrobe, we can store characters inside, I can have three dudes in the wardobe... now if a fourth friend joins on another night; he is randomly assigned one of the three from before? Why? Why can't he just make his own guy? What is the point of the wardrobe if the character is still taking up a slot whether he's in the party or not? This is just so weird. If you can't fix this Larian, at least PLEASE let people do character customization for the locked in characters. It sucks so much to have to tell people "well you can join us, but you have to play as "Sporington" and you can respec her but you can't change her name or appearance so uhh... enjoy just playing someone elses character I guess?

Just... why? Why?
