There is no doubt that martial classes are completly OP by loot. So add some loot to make mages stroger. At least we need gear to increase spell slots for lvl. 6. It is ridiculous to have only one spell slot. I know this madness is because of DnD 5e but for your beloved matial classes you inveneted many "special" rules to make them stronge so do the same for caster.
