heard there was a exhaustion mechanic not added, not sure what it does, but it would be really cool if we had buffs/ debuffs for sleep, thirst, hunger + being able to sleep to restore hp and spell slots would give so much reason to go back to camp and sleep even when you have no cutscenes, would nearly double every players total gametime while being enjoyable, also maybe nerf how much food we find instead add a fishing mini game or something, str/melee getting hungry faster, wizards get thirsty faster, dont see why not already have partial survival mechanics just leave a setting in the options for people who dont want all survival mechanics

Yeah, I agree. In my experience, survival mechanics are a big part of D&D and I would love to see it added through updates or mods.

You haven't played D&D lately. Between the Goodberry spell, Create Food and Water, and Leomund's Tiny Hut, travel has become by far the weakest of the three pillars of play. The only reason party members still carry a lot of the random junk they do is because they all begin with a pack of some kind and they never delete it.

I guess so. Last time I played we didn't have access to those spells and the DM made an effort to deplete our rations so we actually had to forage.
