For the love of Pete, can this be fixed soon, or can some kind soul mod it, because it's driving me nuts.

Meaningful exchanges with your gang, particularly important narrative moments, are lost if their faces are covered with bizarre, horrible or worse, funny, headgear. I've had some shockingly hilarious-in-a-bad-way conversations, where someone is trying tell me something serious and the moment is completely ruined because they look so ridiculous. It's distracting and awful for the story.

The facial expression animations in BG3 are astoundingly good for the most part, subtle and realisic, and without doubt add layers of meaning to what your companions say. They are entirely spoiled by such a glaringly obvious issue.

I'm sad for the people who will only play this game once through, and who won't get the best from the companion stories as a result. Please please fix it as soon as possible.

Same thing happens with the armor/suit option. Always defaults to Armor+Headgear when companion is not in party.

I don't want to think about why my eye is itching.

Oh man, yeah, I actually hate this bug because, sadly, I also strongly dislike the majority of head armor pieces.
