During the Harper/Guild quest my rogue was delighted to read the clerk's note about being ordered to step outside by the head banker, and decided to systematically rob the place blind. It would have to be done on the fly as the Stone Lord was getting his "tour" right at this moment.
He sent the rest of the party to innocently wait in the waiting room, in case the clerk returns, and made out for the first row of vaults. Here he could use his ritual long-jump spell and get all 6 vaults in no time. In the next room there were un-openable cages baring access to the different vaults. Good thing Gale had the dimension door spell, though it would not be enough to access all the vaults. The rougue thought about maybe sacrificing his charge of misty step of his boots, knowing it could mean the difference between life and death in the ,likely, upcoming fight against the Stone Lord. Hmm, choices....
He then checked if he could long rest inside the vault/somehow walk out of the bank, pockets bulging and have a nice date night with Karlach on the roof top of the Elfsong. Then, after a good nights sleep, return to the bank, walk past all the guards and the clerk (who still was stepping out for a moment) with all spell slots filled up again. Making all his prior considerations moot.
Luckily the Stone Lord was still on his 'tour' three days later.
