So Larian have spoken about wanting to add more to the game but not knowing what that would be. So here's and suggestion!

How about a postgame arena (it can be unlocked when you beat the game end you get to return to the last save just before the final boss)

In this Arena you will get to replay all the bosses of the game in a boss rush, to really test out your builds and having some fun after clearing the game.

To get it to keep being interesting it can become harder and harder for every time you beat it. First time its just the normal bosses as they where, next time on "lvl 2" of the rush. They might have 10% more hp. lvl 3 20% more hp and maybe +1 to damage. And so on. I don't think their armor should increase cus how fun is it to just miss them? And then it keeps going like that.

If you clear 10 levels maybe get an achievement but let it go up to like a max turn of 100 or something and people can really test out the most OP of builds and see how far they can get!

I think this would be something fun to do and look forward to when replaying the game and since the bosses already exist Larian wouldn't need to put in work on creating new npcs.

What do people think?

I don't think I'd like a boss rush. Especially as you describe it, I think it would be boring fighting the bosses over and over again with just new, inflated statistics each time.

What some other CRPGs have done, however, is have something like a gladiatorial pit, or some kind of very combat-focused campaign. The idea is that you start with a level 1 character and your teammates, and you go through a whole bunch of battles and level up that way. There can be some kind of story in the background, and even some new characters for you to interact with, but because the campaign is so combat-focused it's much easier to design than a full campaign. You basically have to concentrate on making interesting enemies, and interesting arenas for them to appear in. All equipment is whatever you can buy from some vendor *and should really not include massively OP legendary items, Larian, the idea of this would be a combat challenge.*

You could still have room for non-combat skill proficiencies by having characters that will help you out if you persuade them in between battles, etc.

Well, I prefer in-game quests that actually make sense.

BUt, I do like the premise. Considering how it works with economy and resting, you can face every encounter at your full strength and I'd like to see a survival battle, where you'd have to carefuly keep an eye on your spell levels and other resources. That's the only challenge we really don't have yet, unless you force yourself to not rest as much. No 'imminent bomb' or other weird mechanic, just increasing waves of enemies; which you have to kill quick, or get overwhelmed.

So, maybe make it a 'Defend against the Absolute's Army' or somesuch, to buy time for the Flaming Fist to fortify a position. The objective is to survive 25 rounds whilst defending a point, but every round you can stay there, is a bonus, if you do, of course. This makes sense, because we're told that the way is clear after Act 2, becasue the Amry is on the March, yet, when we get to the city, it's all fine and everyone stays happily camping outside the walls. It'd be good to have an explanation for that, and this could be it. Now you have use for things liek Potion of Angelic Slumber *in combat*, can I do without my cleric for a few rounds? Alright, go and sleep, we'll defend you.

So, I'd say make an arena with increasingly difficult enemies coming in, with no resting in between. Big map with hiding spots, elevation, destructible wooden towers and platforms and a number of spawn points.
In come a handful of gobbos at first, better kill them quick, becasue Ogres join their number, then Drow, then more gobbos with hobgoblins, then a Beholder with Mindflayers, a Bulette makes a comeback, minotaurs join the fray with soldiers backing them up and even more gobbos to throw arrows at you using up your precious reactions. They get Mage Backup, and cultists from each of the Three....

That would be epic. Just like everythinbg else, it'd be optional, of course, but it'd be nice if you see this reflected in the final battle as well. Skip this quest, but have a way harder time at the end if you do.

Fear my wrath, for it is great indeed.
