I think it would be a great idea to have a notification pop up somewhere that lets you know when there is an event waiting for you at camp/long rest. I find myself saving my game and resting, and in case of no event, re-loading more often than I'd care to admit as I have missed multiple important story events before. This not only is time consuming, but also immersion-breaking. Something like a character saying something or maybe an exclamation mark somewhere would be fantastic.
