Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks BUG? Merchants/Battlefield/Act II

1st question: Olaf asked me for a Ruby Amulet of Fortune, after I returned a few times he has CHANGED his request to a 'totally radical willow'. Is this a bug? I simply can't find this 'willow' anywhere. I have completed all 6 dungeons in the battlefields and nothing.

2nd question/bug: Elkar (the lady in the white robe, left center of the 4 merchant 'circle', has disappeared into the house near where she stands. I simply can't talk to her anymore. Any suggestions on getting her to come out and do business?

3rd bug: Everytime I try to talk to the spider farmer about his lost spider the scene locks up. I simply can't ditch this spider. He follows me to the battlefields, dungeons, and lava...maybe I can change into an imp and hitch a ride to keep my stamina from dropping?

4th bug: The 'golden key' in one of the dungeons where there is a 'wine chest' is stuck in the wall. Is there any way to hack the hex to get it out...and what is up with all the creatures inside the dungeon walls?


5th question: What do I do with the spores antidote? (It's the spider web/mushroom extract combo)

Try clicking on the x to exit the conversation with the imp rancher. That can help a similar problem with the imp hero.

Did you try clicking on the wine chest? You character will walk through an illusion wall. Similarly, if you move the 2 barrels against the wall around the key to the east...
Some areas of the game were removed before release, so a few monsters got stranded outside the play area.

Explore the mushroom forest south west of the imp village. You should find a few imps in need of that antidote.

I'm looking for a solution to the same problem - actually Raze didn't answer that question.
Elkar happened to disappear too.
What can I do?? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" /> Although this character has no money anymore (just as the rest in BF), I could exchange armor for charms. It's not possible now.

Alt-tabbing out of the game and back can shift character positions, so you could try doing that repeatedly until Elkar reappears. Also, a couple people had some or all of the BF merchants shift position slightly each time they entered the BF, so you could keep exiting and entering the BF.

You can also reset NPCs' positions
Teleporting anywhere (via hex editor)


It doesn't look like there is a patch for the Polish version of BD, but if you were playing the English version, the patch changes the BF merchants' inventories so they are regenerated each time you enter the BF.
